Son of Mila and Ituala Ali’ifua… Has three brothers and two sisters… Younger brother, Demytrick, also played football at Utah State as an offensive lineman… Older brother, Eric, played offensive tackle at Southeast Missouri State… Served a two-year LDS Church Mission to Oklahoma City, Okla., from 2010-12… Originally signed with Utah State in 2009, but did not enroll until the spring semester of 2013… Married former USU volleyball player Tumua Etimani in 2014 and the couple has a son, Tavai… Graduated from Utah State in the spring of 2017 with a general studies degree with an emphasis in family and human development… Last name is pronounced Ah-lee-ee-foo-uh.

List of achievements:
Started all 12 games at defensive end and earned honorable mention all-Mountain West honors… Finished the season ranking first on the team with both 3.5 sacks and 8.0 tackles for loss, as part of his 29 tackles (15-solo, 14-assist), which ranked third on the team among defensive linemen… Had a team-high four quarterback hurries and tied for the team lead with one forced fumble, while ranking tied for fourth on the team with three pass breakups… Recorded at least two tackles in 10 of the 12 games he started, and posted a tackle for loss in eight games, including each of his last five to end the season… Had a season-high five tackles against Air Force (9/24), which included a career-high-tying 1.0 sacks… Added 1.0 sacks against both Wyoming (11/5) and Nevada (11/19)… Had a season-high 1.5 tackles for loss against both Weber State (9/1) and Arkansas State (9/16)… Forced his lone fumble on the season at Nevada.
